Thuja plicata 'Whipcord'
Whipcord Western Red Cedar. A crazy little plant with a unique texture and form. Long strands of glossy foliage shoot out in all directions (like fireworks) when young, and takes on a distinctive cascading or mop-like look with age. Foliage is green in summer, changing to bronze in winter. Has multiple stems and a globe-shape habit. Easy to grow, providing many years of character and 4-season interest. Great for fairy gardens and little landscapes while small, and can eventually be moved to a larger garden when needed. An eye-catching plant for little landscapes of all kinds, troughs and containers. Plants are growing in 2.25" x 2.25" x 3.5"h " pots. Cold hardy to zone 5. Shade tolerant.
