Buxus sinica var. insularis 'Justin Brouwers'

Justin Brouwers Boxwood.  Perfect little evergreen shrub for the miniature/fairy garden and landscape.  Broad glossy green leaves grow on small globe-shaped plants.  Just like its larger relatives, can be sheared into sculptural shapes for beautiful form and structure in the garden.  If left unsheared, will be wider than tall.  Nice for 12 months of color and interest in the garden.  Use in fairy/miniature gardens in the ground and in containers, little landscapes, trough gardens, and railroad gardens.  Prune during winter through mid-summer, if desired.  Cold hardy to zone 5.  Plants are growing in 3.5"h x 4"diameter pots.

  • Small broadleaf evergreen, growing about 3" per year
  • Tolerant of dry conditions once established
  • Grow in full sun to partial shade
  • Cold hardy to about -20° to -10°F
  • Recommended for outdoor gardens only
